Community service above self, the club and its memembers raise funds to give back to the local and community. We support world wide polio eradication, locally provide fuel assistance to the elderly, support the local schools and other non profit organizations, the local food bank and others in need of basic human services and support.

OUR MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES HARDWORKING, STRUGGLING HOUSEHOLDS BY MOBILIZING THE RESOURCES LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO CREATE LASTING CHANGE. IS THE CHAMPION FOR FAMILIES LIVING PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK IN OUR 15-TOWN REGION ACROSS NORTHERN FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SOUTHERN LITCHFIELD COUNTY, AND THE CITY STAMFORD. WE FOCUS ON THREE KEY AREAS: EDUCATION, FINANCIAL STABILITY, AND HEALTH. OUR VISION IS THAT EVERY FAMILY IS HEALHTY AND STRONG, EVERY HOUSEHOLD IS FINANCIALLY STABLE, AND EVERY CHILD ENTERS SCHOOL READY TO LEARN AND GRADUATES READY TO SUCCEED. WE ARE FOCUSED ON A POPULATION THAT CALLS ALICE (ASSET LIMITED, INCOME CONSTRAINED, EMPLOYED). ALICE HOUSEHOLDS ARE EMPLOYED, OFTEN IN MORE THAN ONE JOB, YET OFTEN CANNOT AFFORD BASIC NECESSITIES LIKE FOOD, HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION, CHILD CARE, AND HEALTHCARE. A REPORT PUBLISHED IN SEPTEMBER 2020 REVEALED THAT 38% HOUSEHOLDS THROUGHOUT ARE ALICE OR LIVE IN POVERTY.

THE METRO MANHATTAN FOUNDATION RAISES MONEY TO FUND PROGRAMS IN FIVE AREAS: YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT; ARTS AND CULTURE; INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS; LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMEN; HEALTH AND NUTRITION.

REPRESENT EMPLOYEES UNDER CONTRACT WITH MANAGEMENT. NEGOTIATE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS BENEFITS WITH MANAGEMENT ON BEHALF OF MEMBERS, REPRESENT MEMBERS WITH GRIEVANCES. HELP PROCURE EMPLOYMENT FOR DISPLACED .

Recipients include the St Vincent DePaul Society Food Pantry, various charities, soccer teams, and individual families need. Working with the 3 area high schools we implemented an Italian Language studies program. To recognize this accomplishment we have established 3 scholarships which are awarded annually to graduating seniors from the John Jay, Roy C Ketcham, and Arlington High Schools. The scholarships are awarded to those seniors who have demonstrated exemplary performance the Italian language program.
