FOR FISCAL 2021 THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS INCREASED SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY, INCLUDING INCREASED SUPPORT OF ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS BY VIRTUE OF FUND RAISING EFFORTS IN HONOR OF ITS LONG-TENURED AND RETIRING PRESIDENT. ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT WAS ALSO RECEIVED IN SUPPORT OF STUDENTS WITH NEED BASED ON SOCIO-ECONOMIC BACKGROUND AT A TIME WHEN THE DEMAND FOR RESOURCES WAS AT A HIGH POINT.IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDED ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH SPECIFIC FUNDING FOR THE UNIVERSITY IN RESPONSE TO INITIATIVES DRIVEN BY THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, WHILE ALSO RECEIVING SUPPORT FOR ITS RESEARCH WORK IN THE SCIENCES, FOR THE ENHANCEMENT AND CLARITY OF COMMUNICATIONS WITHIN MAJOR MEDIA SECTORS, AND FOR SUPPORT OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.
